With the roll out of the the Michigan K-12 Science Standards (adopted in November 2015), based upon the Next Generation Science Standards, many teachers are unsure where to find information and resources that will help them teach the new science standards. Hopefully, this course will help you with the transition from GLCEs to the new Michigan K-12 Science Standards. This module will show how to navigate the Michigan Department of Education science standards document as well as how to navigate the Michigan Department of Education and the Next Generation Science Standards websites. It is intended to help teachers and administrators who are unfamiliar with the Michigan Science Standards and the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) find information that pertains to their curriculum.
