Introduction to the High Impact Leadership for School Renewal Model, Course 1

This course is the first in a series of five courses designed to introduce school leadership teams to the School Renewal approach for sustainable positive change. The course introduces a strengths-based approach to positive change with an emphasis on: * Achieving and sustaining school transformation * Creating equity-based schools * Accomplishing implementation success * Developing an asset and strengths-based culture * Challenging implicit bias * Cultivating excellence This course explores how School Renewal can be an alternative approach to continuous improvement for schools looking to reduce the complexity of change, avoid implementation pitfalls, and keep students at the center of all change initiatives. In this series of courses, you will hear from school leaders, teachers, and facilitator coaches who are using the HIL School Renewal Model for positive change in their schools. You will also examine ways your school can apply the principles and practices of the HIL School Renewal Model to achieve greater implementation success with evidence-based strategies and practices. Finally, you will explore how your school can use the HIL Principles, Practices, and Process to achieve equity of learning opportunity and outcomes for all the students you serve.
